Nurturing a child’s brain – Rashmi Chougule’s efficient teaching
Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden. After finishing her master's in counseling psychology, Rashmi Chougule decides to teach young children two regional languages, Marathi and Hindi. Her students range from first graders to seventh graders. Rashmi understands the importance and benefits of knowing regional languages and, hence, strives to make more people aware of it, alongside providing quality education to kids. Her class times aren’t fixed. She believes in creating flexible time frames that meet the needs of both the parents and the child. It’s not just the timing but also the teaching techniques that make her stand out from the rest of the class. She starts her classes with prayers and breathing exercises, so the child settles down well. Making the children comfortable with the setting and ensuring their interest in the subject is necessary to help the child focus and learn better. It is important to know regional languages. The government has made it compulsory for kids to learn Hindi and Marathi. These are not scoring subjects. Because of simple things like faulty spellings and incorrectly written alphabets, kids lose marks, which affects their overall grades and percentages. If one has a strong hold on regional languages, one can communicate and understand the culture much better, leading to a wholesome and smooth experience. Rashmi not only teaches them the entrusted syllabus but also helps the kids improve their handwriting to improve their grades. Alongside languages, she’s also finished certified courses in extracurricular activities like Sanskar Bharti rangoli and Warli paintings. She teaches children various forms of Warli painting over walls, vases, and even stones. Ms. Rashmi takes her classes in both online and offline mode. Her offline classes are situated in Sector 34C, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.
