“Nothing Is Impossible” Says A Village Side Photographer
We have come
across several success stories that inspire us to chase our dreams. Mostly we
hear about Ambani, Tata, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and such big names that
overwhelm us. So, let’s take a step bit lower and look at such entrepreneurs
that will encourage you enough without overwhelming you. Here’s a journey of a
normal village occasional photographer turned into a metropolitan events
photoshoot contractor with his hard work, determination, and of course a bit of
luck. The owner of
Image Studio in Kharghar, Sam Jagdale is yet another example that reinforces
the statement that when you believe in yourself and pursue your dreams
passionately, no one can stop you from finding success. This entrepreneur is
the youngest son in his family with three elder siblings that hails from a
small village near Latur with a farming occupation. Being young, he was free
from responsibilities and could choose his dreams and follow them. When asked
Sam about how he started his journey, he shared a very ‘close-to-heart’ memory.
His elder brother who is in the army gifted him a Yashica camera when he was
just 11. And that’s where he started inclining towards this hobby of
photography which later turned into a passion. When he was 14, he started
attending village events to take pictures at a mere price of Rs.10/picture. Later
he started attending marriages, and that’s when he got his first Vivitar SLR
camera that brought him near to professionalism. But later
Mr. Jagdale realized that his dream is impossible in this village with a mere
population of a few thousand. That’s when he decided to travel and learn more
moving away from his village. He came to Mumbai in 2000, spend days cleaning
cars and studios for months, slept on the platform, and many such things that
finally brought him near to his success. Thinking about it now, he says every
part of his struggle has taught him something. And he gives credit for his
success to those incidents along with his two Gurus Jeere Dada and Kumar Sir.

branches and around 30 staff working under him, he states that ‘nothing is
impossible’ when you set your goal and strive to achieve it. That’s the story
of Sam Jagdale who once could only dream of traveling through Mumbai’s street
is now a well-established entrepreneur who is planning to open his new branch in
