Converting Dreams to Reality, The Success Story of Pro King Sports Academy
Cricket is
like the second national game for Indians, where our hearts and souls root for
the Country’s victory. But we forget about all the efforts these players and
coaches have put together throughout the life. Starting from playing for a club
to winning the world cup, the basis of a success story of a player depends on
the sports academy. And Pro King Sports Academy is one of such clubs that helps
in converting dreams to reality for the young sportspersons. We had the
privilege to have an interview with the head coaches of this small yet
influencing academy – Ganesh, Sagar, Vinay, and Priyanka. When asked about
their success, they devote it to the consistency of making their vision into the
reality of providing a basic platform and professional cricket training to the
youngsters. Started in 2012 with merely 2 students by their side, this cricket
academy now has a total of 17 branches with more than 600 talented cricketers
under their banner. When asked
about the challenges they had to face for reaching this level, the coaches all
agreed with the initial struggle of scouting grounds and safety precautions.
They told us that playing with a leather ball is not easy, especially when shot
like a bullet from the bat. Therefore, they have to always make sure that their
students, as well as the passersby, are safe. Taking care of this at the initial
stage was difficult for them, but with nets and infrastructure over time, it
became merely a small concern. Similarly, searching for grounds were a problem.
But with help from certain politicians and influential people these problems were later resolved.
When asked
about their future plans, the Pro King Sports Academy states that they believe
in themselves and want to continue with the quality training they provide to
compete with other academies. Side by side, they are also looking forward to
bring other sports under their banner like fitness training, football, and
opening a gymkhana for the Olympics level training. Dedication and discipline are
what they expect from their students, and in return quality training and the
