AN ARTIST’S JOURNEY TO THE CANVAS – MRS. RACHNA PAHWA

An entity that needs adoration and criticism, an entity that is receptive to different perceptions of it whether black, white or grey. And the irony of this phenomenal gift of God is that the ones who can create art are the ones who are least bothered by the numerous perspectives surrounding their work. They make art because that helps them to find themselves, and the people to see a reflection of their own selves. In today’s article, I am bringing forth an amazing artist who found herself in the paintings she paints, and the art that she creates - Mrs Rachna Pahwa. Mrs Rachna Pahwa started painting in her late thirties. With three children to take care of and a whole household to maintain, she found relief in painting amidst the hustle-bustle of her life. A woman of strength, Mrs Rachna Pahwa had to leave her studies just a week before her final examinations due to her wedding. Though her marriage was a happy one yet she always felt a pinch of dissatisfaction in her heart, as if there was a calling from within that there is more to life than just family and children. As time passed, she began to feel restless and shared her dilemma with her eldest daughter. Hearing and comprehending the situation her daughter made her visit a painting institution where she learnt the art and started her journey. A few months after the art institution, Mrs Rachna Pahwa ventured out and opened an institution for the young ones to help them express themselves through the craft of art. She also started creating a magnificent canvas with her vivid imagination and started portraying her work in various exhibitions. Mrs Rachna Pahwa found her suppressed passion through art and gave a voice to her feelings and herself through the ‘out of the world’ paintings she paints. Her paintings have received widespread appreciation, and have been exponentially increasing the beauty of many houses, hallways, and offices. A woman with a zeal to tell the world about her artistic triumphs, the artwork of Mrs Rachna Pahwa is celebrated by many. It ranges from abstract paintings to the paintings of towns and cities, to inanimate paintings, and many more.
